Nineteenth-century miniature of Katherine Parr
‘Portrait of a lady called Katherine Parr’, by Henry Pierce Bone, 1844. Enamel; 4.8 x 3.9cm.
The miniature was purchased by Queen Victoria in 1844, to add to her growing collection of portraits of sixteenth-century figures. It is still part of the Royal Collection.
I am extremely impressed with your writing talents as smartly as with the layout
in your blog. Is this a paid subject matter or did you customize it
yourself? Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare
to look a nice blog like this one today..
Wow. HUGE thanks for the compliment. I am actually studying Women’s Studies at university [along side music]. My focus being Women from this time period and my main focus anything and everything Katherine Parr. So instead of the super feminist route, I focus on the History of Women and how we have evolved over the years. I wish it was paid. Maybe someday it will be. Thanks again!
